Whole House Remodel

Bob and his team completed a whole house remodel for me in Oakmont and what a great experience! I was hesitant to take on a remote remodel, but Bob made it very easy for me to “supervise from afar”. Leveraging email, DropBox, and DocuSign, I was able to keep up with the project’s process, change orders, and decision-making. Bob was clear about the project phases and provided estimates before beginning each phase. Our scope included removing all the old finishes and a few walls, and adding a new kitchen, bathrooms, lots of cabinetry and built-ins, a few new windows and doors, fireplace replacement, new lighting, paint, flooring, finishes, and doors throughout the house. There was also structural work to fix weakened areas of the foundation and attic areas, rot repair, as well as a complete installation of a crawl space system to address moisture under the house. I was very pleased with Bob’s team and the vendors/suppliers that he used and referred as well. I was keen to also choose materials from local vendors wherever possible. While the remodel process occurred during the Covid pandemic, we remained flexible with lead times and supply chains, and got there in the end. Of utmost importance to me was the level of quality of workmanship, and boy did Bob’s team deliver on that. Every time I visited the site, I was extremely impressed with the team’s work which was thorough and done with great attention to detail. There were no punch lists for me before I moved into the house as Bob had kept a keen eye on everything and had already ensured that all was taken care of, including a thorough cleaning. But on top of everything else, I appreciated the fact that Bob and the team were lovely people, trustworthy, and great communicators. The house is beautiful, and I am so happy with the result and I would use Youngs & Company again in a heartbeat.
